Audio visual instrument by Martina Moro and Fabian Lanzmaier
Sounds produced by Synthesizers are sent to audio transducers exciting liquids of different properties. The patterns generated get transformed and fed back to the audio path, changing parameters of this open feedback system with its own dynamics and dependencies. The output can drastically change by using strobe lights sources. By adjusting the frequency and intensity of the light pulses, the image appears to freeze, race, outstretch and move backwards. Auditory and visual aspects, as well as all its other components (whether analog / physical / digital / human) are essential elements of this apparatus. agar agar is a sculptural instrument, a “miniature stage”, that under a spotlight, reveals a frantic choreography of frequencies.
